Each week includes space for lesson plans in math, science, history, language arts, and Bible. Custom courses can be entered in the extra space provided at the bottom.
Well Planned Day is a fully dated planner, beginning July 1 and running through June 30.
Each weekly spread includes space for the weekly menu plan, to-do list, and weekend activities right alongside your lesson planning.

Homeschooling moms keep up with a lot. We prepare lessons, record grades, plan meals, track chores, process through projects, keep track of various appointments, jot down grocery needs...the list goes on and on! With a calendar here, a grocery list there, and a chore chart somewhere else, it can be hard to keep track of it all without something falling through the cracks.

The Well Planned Day family homeschool planner was created with that juggling act in mind! Designed to keep everything in one place, Well Planned Day allows homeschooling moms to see weekly lesson plans, appointments, and menu plans at a glance.

Well Planned Day: Yes, It's Possible!

When we realize just how much conflict there is between our nice on-paper plan and the challenges of real life, it sometimes feels like it’s impossible to have a Well Planned Day, even with our pretty planners and brand new lesson plans. Success seems to hinge on everything going just so, and we all know that life rarely fits that description!

Seeing our planning turn into a successful day is possible. And yes, it requires a bit of effort and energy on our part. While that can seem overwhelming on the front end, those who make the investment quickly see the investment pay off as one successful day rolls into another. A little extra input on the front end can make an enormous difference as the days, weeks, and months roll out smoothly, even with the ups and downs of life.

Many years of parenting and homeschooling – including a good deal of trial and error! – have taught me several important planning tips. As I’ve implemented these tips in my own life, I have enjoyed the reward of successful Well Planned Days. Here are the first four tips to help you join me in that success.

1. The Right Mindset

Juggling the priorities of home and children can keep any mom busy, but add homeschooling in the mix, and it becomes necessary to make a plan. Over the many years of our homeschooling journey, I have learned that success doesn’t start with a plan or even with keeping to a schedule; instead, successful homeschooling begins with the right thinking!

Home and School Management

With five kids in seven years, by the time I started to homeschool, I had my hands full with nursing a baby, chasing a toddler, changing diapers, overcoming the endless mountain of laundry, and keeping the kids fed and clean! To homeschool effectively, I knew organization was a must.

In the classic type A mindset, I started my first year with a spreadsheet that would have impressed any accountant. However, it was overkill. By the second year, I had begun to relax and prioritize better. My planner was beginning to take shape, laying the groundwork for what would eventually become today’s Well Planned Day.

By the 5th year, I not only had my core structure, but I also decorated each page of the planner. Adding photos of the kids, it became a scrapbooker's dream planner. That year, my father encouraged me to print the planner for the homeschooling community, and I’m so glad I did.

I love hearing from moms how this planner impacts their daily life!

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this planner all I need, or do I need other planners as well?

Well Planned Day can easily help you manage homeschool, home, and life all in one handy location! A Wall Calendar for family coordination is helpful, and some moms also like to use the On the Go for an easy carry-along option.

How can I plan for more than four children?

If your youngest is a preschooler, use the blank bottom rows on the weekly spread to keep track of what your child has accomplished. If all of your children are school age, many subjects can be combined, allowing fewer assignments to be required. You can also use a block schedule, assigning certain subjects only 2-3 days per week. A final alternative is to consider My Well Planned Day online planning instead of Well Planned Day. The printable reports allow you to print out the weekly assignments, which you can then store in a binder, if desired.

Is there an explanation for the Bible reading plan? It seems random.

The Bible reading plan assigns a specific literary genre to each day of the week. Check out the article "Through the Bible by Literary Genre" for more information!

Even Better This Year Review by Jennifer
I just purchased the The Well Planned Day Planner as I do every year and I just had to let you know how pleased I am with this latest edition. I love the additional pages, especially “Future Plans” and “Year End Review”. We have been homeschooling for almost 20 years and this is by far my favorite planner I have used. Thanks for making it even better this year! (Posted on 3/4/2020)
I LOVE this organizer! Review by Rebecca
I LOVE this organizer! This is the second year that I've used it, and I appreciate it so much! (Posted on 3/4/2020)
Great Planner Review by Amber
We would not make it without our well planned day calendar keeping our lives in order. My husband love the size because he can always see it on the counter and can quickly check what we have in store from one week to another. (Posted on 3/4/2020)
I love your homeschool planner Review by Julie
I love your homeschool planner. I have to keep a journal for my umbrella because they require it, so I used your planner the last two years. I especially like the five core subjects listed already for the week so I just fill it in. Saves time! Also love curriculum plan and budget, daily schedule s for students and teacher, year-old chore charts for kids and weekly house cleaning schedule. Also holiday planning! Love it! I adore this planner! Review by Jenna
I almost never send feedback on a product I've purchased, but I just could not help but make time in this case.

I adore this planner! I used your planner for the 2016-2017 school year, and even though it was a great fit, I ended up trying something less expensive for my last school year. I worked through it, but it was certainly not a great fit. So I returned to your planner this school year, knowing that although there were small changes I might make if I could, I knew it would be easy to use, well laid out, and include important extras like the Christmas planning section, goal setting sections and semester reviews.

Even though I knew I would be glad to have this planner again, I found myself with eyebrows raised, smiling, as I looked through it for the first time. You have made so many small changes that really impacted me. Most of them center on the design, which really appeals to me. But I also love seeing the self-care section and the prominently marked holidays.

Thank you for such a marvelous planner! (Posted on 3/4/2020)
This is the best planner Review by Morgan
This planner has it all! But the best surprise we had last year was the added bonus of daily bible reading on the month at a glance sheets. Our family has tried many other planners but we are so happy to have found one to stick with! (Posted on 3/4/2020)
Love this planner! Review by Rose
I have used this planner for about 3 months now. I looked for a long time and this one is by far the best I could find that was affordable. I have really enjoyed using it and look forward to purchasing again next year. (Posted on 3/4/2020)
Perfect Planner for Homeschooling Moms Review by Christina
I just wanted to share something. My sweet husband gave me the wonderful gift of any planner I wanted, knowing I was drooling over the customized toile print cover of another brand of planners. That said, I looked and looked and could find nothing on the market, including all the high-end retailers, that even came close to my A Well Planned Day planner. Others offered some of the options, like budgets, meal planning, and lesson planning, but only in individual planners that I had the option of buying and also buying a wrap that would hold all of those individual planners together. Your planner is all that and more at a fraction of the price. Given a huge budget and a “whatever your heart desires” gift certificate, the only choice was A Well Planned Day. Thank you for making such a perfect planner for homeschooling moms. (Posted on 3/4/2020)
My favorite planner Review by KP
This is my second year buying this planner and I love it! It is beautiful, and it helps me stay organized. I really like the way each week is laid out, with places to plan each subject, as well as meals and a to do list. I do wish there were more notes pages at the end, because I like having a place to write down lesson ideas. Also, the report card pages in this year's planner are perforated oddly, so they don't look as nice and will tear if I attempt to fold them as intended. Other than that, I love it! (Posted on 3/4/2020)
These are lovely planners! Review by Gery
These are one of my favourite well-rounded Mom's planner/scheduler/homeschooler,prayer guide all in one. Very much worth every penny! (Posted on 3/4/2020)
